Mag. Roland Kalb
The founder and CEO of proionic is the technical-scientific director of the company. After finishing his studies of chemistry at the University of Vienna he worked as assistant at the department of Organic Chemistry. At the Echem center of excellence in the field of applied electrochemistry Mag. Kalb was in charge of the divisions Organic Chemistry/Ionic Liquids before he founded the company Kalb-Consult for chemical technical consulting in the field of Ionic Liquids and organic insecticides. In 2004 he founded the company called proionic.
"The potential of these compound classes will, beyond any doubt, lead to spectacular innovations. I assume that within five to ten years Ionic Liquids will be found in each and every car, aeroplane, computer or industrial production site."
Dr. Emil F. Aust, MBM
As the commercially orientated CEO of proionic Dr. Emil Aust is responsible for the divisions Marketing & Sales as well as Technologies Development & Innovation focusing on establishing the Ab-Initio process.
He finished his studies of Chemistry at the University of Mainz and received a doctor's degree at the Max-Planck-Institut for Polymer Research. In addition, Dr. Aust finished the Master of Business Marketing at the Freie Universität Berlin.
Dr. Emil Aust worked globally, in USA and Asia, especially in the field of application engineering. Additionally, he is long-time experienced in business management as well as in the organisational setup of innovations in the field of Ionic Liquids.
Since June 2010 Dr. Aust is working as CEO at proionic.
